Alongside faculty members of Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone, LLP, Jill Bergman and Kevin M. Quinn will discuss how the Affordable Care Act will impact both business decisions and mergers & acquisitions, how to prepare for the 40% excise Cadillac Tax on healthcare plans and other ACA influences. Kevin M. Quinn is a Partner in the Health & Benefits and the Transaction Services divisions. Leading a talented team of Employee Benefits consultants, he assists clients in creating sophisticated financial and strategic benefits designs while providing client-specific solutions to benefits challenges facing the middle-market employer. Kevin has extensive knowledge of the Affordable Care Act provisions and its impact on plan sponsors. He develops viable benefit plan design alternatives by evaluating financing arrangements, benefit structure, pricing, vendor contracts and the risk characteristics of each group.
Jill Bergman, CEBS®, is Vice President of Compliance in the Health & Benefits division. As a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist®, Ms. Bergman monitors federal and state-level employee benefit plan legislation and regulations to help clients understand and comply with the ever-changing health and welfare plan requirements as well as continuing to closely watch and report on the progress of healthcare reform implementation under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
