About “Implementing NYS Paid Family Leave”:
The NYS Paid Family Leave Program will provide job-protected, paid family leave to eligible employees, beginning January 1, 2018, and payroll deductions to fund this benefit can start as early as July 1 of this year. These dates are rapidly approaching, and employers need to take action now to ensure a smooth roll out of the new family leave policy.
This panel will explain the detailed requirements of this law, including employee eligibility, identify policy and administrative issues that are likely to arise, assess employer options and strategies, review how it may interact with other employer leave policies and FMLA, and provide guidance on questions to raise with your payroll provider and insurance carrier. Ample time will be allocated to Q/A, and we will have the most current regulatory details available to share with you.
