About “Social Media: Hidden Dangers in the Workplace”:
Social media use is growing daily and has become the new ‘water cooler’ for many employees. Unfortunately,
many companies underestimate the power of social media and very few have HR policies that specifically
address social media activities.
With all of the workplace claims arising out of social media, how can an employer protect themselves?
A panel of experts will lead a discussion on social media, liability and the law and cover topics including:
- How HR departments currently address social media activity
- How an employee handbook or social media policy protects the employer
- How employers can monitor an employee’s social media use
- Generational differences in social media use
- How management can bring everyone ‘together’ on social media
- The downside of social media use
- How a company can protect itself from social media risks
- The future of social media
